Does anybody know if there is ANY way to tell wether a player will start before the game actually starts? Im getting killed by the days where i have useless players..can anyone help?
Any of the major sites have the lineups around a half hour before the game starts. Mlb.com, Yahoo, etc.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Yeah say you want to see if Alex Rodriguez is in the starting lineup tomorrow. If they're playing at 7:05 eastern time, go to mlb.com around 6:40 or so and go to the Gameday page... nothing will be happening but the lineups will be posted.
"Oh, that Lankford and McGee, the trio of 'em. They're a one-man wrecking crew."
I usually go to Yahoo, and like these guys are saying you can go to mlb.com too.
Generally Yahoo has them 45-60 minutes before game time, although I have seen them not post them in time for me to adjust my line-up once in a while. They're not perfect but they're pretty good. I often check here too in the "Injuries & Player Updates" thread.

If you play fantasy at Yahoo, you can use a feature that is on our beta site to help with this, until the feature makes its way to the main site. To do so, instead of going to
As soon as we get the starting lineups for a game, your team is updated; batters that are starting have a ^ like pitchers always have, and batters who aren't starting have a v. If we don't know yet, it says nothing.
This works fine as long as you're just looking at today's stat view of your team. If you look at other views (days other than today, stats for the month, etc.), then all bets are off; the feature is a bit rough around the edges, as it is sitting on beta.
