Need some advice...I was a fan of Jennings coming into the season and his first start off of the DL was nice...but, Marcum and Guthrie are also available and have been pitching well.
Matchups through ASB:
Marcum - at LAD, vs WSH, vs LAD, at MIN, at SEA, vs CLE
Guthrie - vs COL, vs ARI, at SD, vs NYY, at CHW, at TEX
Jennings - at CHW, vs OAK, at LAA, at MIL, vs COL, vs NYM
Based on matchups, I like Marcum through the ASB...but who is the best pitcher of the three?
Thoughts about these guys vs Ervin Santana? My league only has two bench spots (14 team, weekly roto 5x5), and it's tough to keep him around for just his home starts...
from here on out. Marcum will have the highest K/9 of the three, but Jennings will have the lowest ERA, especially pitching against the NL Central. I like Marcum's stuff the best and Jennings has the experience and is still only 28 years old. Guthrie has some sexy numbers so far as a starter, but look who they've come against: KC (13th in the AL in runs scored), Tor (10th), Tampa (11th), Boston (3rd), and then Washington (15th in the NL).
