Atkins not in lineup...2nd night in a row

any1 know why?

normally i wouldnt really care as i would have him firmly planted on my bench, but w/Chipper out as well, im forced to start Atkins and hes been left out of last 2 games starting lineups...

why?

Days of rest to try and get him out of his slump, he may be out tomorrow also..who knows

"Atkins was held out of the lineup Friday, and manager Clint Hurdle said he will give him a few days off to see if it breaks him out of his slump, the Associated Press reports.
Spin: Atkins is hitting .159 in his last 22 games. "I'll give him a couple of days to refresh or rekindle and then we'll get back at it," Hurdle said."

Hes just out of the lineup to try to get him out of slump for the weekend.
