Keeping people from wasting his time? He's playing fantasy baseball...
I think it's kind of classless. Classless is a little strong but it's early and I can't think of the right word. Not something I would do if for no other reason than you risk alienating a potential trade partner.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
I think saying something like this is ridiculous. It just makes the person saying it look bad. Odds are, every single person playing fantasy baseball has sent and received "stupid" trade offers.
I've got people in my leagues that post things like "Thome available for an OF or RP, but don't come stupid"...and then he follows up this comment by sending me an offer of Thome and Ian Snell for Beltran and Valverde...WTF?!? So, I guess the "Don't come stupid" means "don't bother coming stupid, because stupid is coming over"...

He who knows not and knows not he knows not: he is a fool - shun him. He who knows not and knows he knows not: he is simple - teach him. He who knows and knows not he knows: he is asleep - wake him. He who knows and knows he knows: he is wise - follow him

If there is one bad trade offer, I wouldn't say something like that, but if the same person offers 5 ridiculous trades in a row, I don't have anything against doing something like that.
i dont think posting a message for the whole league to see is called for. if someone recieving an offer doesnt like it im sure they can send back some comments and something like dont bother offering me any more trades if your going to offer me garbage.
everyone is going to value players differently, so what might seem fair to someone might not be fair to someone else.
I agree about being cool with the bad offers at first. The first offer is normally just a first step and then it's only a bad offer if the other team rejects it. But, if they are always sending them, then you should say something.
