Ah well.

It was locked. Supposedly we're not supposed to discuss it here anymore.
I do love how so many Yankees fans were defending an act that they called common and fair, while all along their manager actually called it the wrong thing to do. ARod even said himself that saying "I got it" would be bad, though I'm not sure how "mine" is much different than saying "I got it." A lot of people wrongfully jumped on my argument in that thread.

Didn't you know? This subject is verboten around here because Yankees fans are on the losing side of it, and it actually involves facts they don't want to think about.

I still haven't heard one good defense yet for what happened. I mean you know something is wrong when your own teammates and manager don't even defend you.

I can't believe the Toronto fans are still mad about this. Your infielders should get to no each other a little bit better, even if it is the first day they play together. A-Rod had 33,000 people screaming MINE at him tonight and still SOMEHOW managed to catch a ball.
Get over it.

How was it our infielder's fault? As a 3B, you're taught to back off a ball when the SS calls for it behind you. He had absolutely no reason to think that the runner would actually call him off his own ball considering nobody had ever tried that in his entire career. I hardly see how having fans shout at you from the stands is in any way similar to what happened directly behind Howie Clark.
Get over it.
I will, when people actually begin to accept that he did something wrong.
