why don't they just DH Phelps, I mean what good does Damon do not playing CF? Not like Melky is great defensively there.

Do you watch the Yankees play?? Damon is O.K. at tracking the ball down but I have seen better arms on chairs. Melky has an excellent arm. Looks like Phelps will get more time at 1B now.

Damon isn't good in CF and he's even worse when banged up with injuries. Melky is better in every way defensively and I'm not a scout, but he has a plus arm from what I've seen.

I think you're just used to seeing Damon's arm out there. I'd look like a plus arm replacing him

That was two years ago I believe.

Whenever it was, it was his first couple games in a brief stint in the majors. He was awful then, but has turned into a very good fielder.

I agree. He won't ever be confused with Torii Hunter but he is pretty good out there, much better than when he was thrown to the wolves. I would rather see him in a corner OF position but he will be fine out there.
