I'm with you - Hall has been riding the pine for weeks now but I wouldn't drop him yet. Reynolds may be hot right now but who knows what will be going on in a few weeks.
if you can bare the pain of following Hall over the next couple weeks, you'll be able to pick him back up if he gets hot. I don't think most people have much confidence in him being able to turn in a year like he did last season. He's just pathetic right now, so I would drop him and just monitor the situation...monitor meaning not acting once he has 1 big game (his last big game was followed by a 1-17 performance with 1 RBI.
I'd stay with Hall if I were you. On May 30th, 2006, Bill Hall's line looked like this:
.269/.320/.594
This year, on May 30th of 2007:
.261/.318/.429
There's been an obvious drop in power, but Hall's always been a streaky hitter. Bench him for now. In a lineup with Hardy and Fielder, he's bound to catch fire eventually.
Hall is slowly starting to show a better approach at the plate. If you do drop him, make sure to keep him on your radar. I don't think he'll finish with 35Hrs again this year, but he'll get better.
RotoWire wrote:Jul 7 Manager Ned Yost said that he expected Hall (ankle sprain) to miss anywhere between two to six weeks, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Recommendation: The Brewers will likely have a better idea of how long Hall will be out after they get the results of an MRI and see how he feels after a few days of rest. The current feeling is that his return will be closer to two weeks than six, but anything can happen with a high ankle sprain.
News: The Brewers placed OF Bill Hall on the 15-day disabled list Friday, a day after he sustained a high right ankle sprain leaping for a Ryan Doumit home run in Pittsburgh. "It could be anywhere from two to six weeks - we just don't know," manager Ned Yost said. "Hopefully, he's a quick healer."
Analysis: Hall, who was hitting .271 with nine homers and 38 RBI, was injured when he landed awkwardly after leaping for a home run hit by Ryan Doumit on Thursday at Pittsburgh. Hall left the game and postgame X-rays were negative. He is a solid Fantasy option when healthy.
basically says the same thing, its just from cbssports.com

I work at the Brewers' minor league training facility in Phoenix. Billy was in yesterday and today to have his ankle worked on. He's walking around with no crutches and he's been riding the stationary bike. I'm saying he's back within 2 weeks or less. Those of you who are thinking of adding him if he was dropped, I would do so now.
