Just curious as to what people's expectations are for Larry Walker and Ryan Klesko this upcoming season.

dont expect much out of walker. he is getting old and becoming worthless. klesko will put up some good numbers this year id expect, if he stays healthy.

i have no expectations for walker, i think he's headed to pasture, as for klesko, the pods are running out of spots to put him with nevin healthy and giles now for the OF. i could see Klesko .275 20HR 50R 65 RBI just my opinion tho. seems like since he left the Bravos that the kid is just lost, who knows maybe he'll prove me wrong, i hope he does.

I think Walker will have very similar numbers to what he had last year.

Klesko should have around 28 homers and 90 RBI I think his AVG will be close to .280

I look for Walker to put up better numbers than last year but nothing spectacular. As for Klesko I look for him to have a pretty big year. A great later round pick.

If Walker were to get into top shape, he probably has another good year or two in him.

This was posted about him on Rotowire -

"I saw him before I left (on a monthlong vacation) and he looked like he already has lost 20 pounds since the end of the season," manager Clint Hurdle said. "He was in great shape." On the injury front, when Walker's shoulder was being operated on, it was found that his biceps tendon was 70 percent shredded, so that was repaired as well. The doctors cut off 2 1/4 inches and drilled a hole in the bone to reattach the tendon.

Klesko should have a solid year. The Padres lineup has improved with Giles, Payton, and the return of Nevin. I expect 25-30 HR's, 90 RBI, and a .270 AVG.

50 runs and 65 RBI? With that lineup? He had those stats last year and he missed 40 games. He also didn't have Nevin or Giles for most of the season.
