In my H2H yahoo money league, I used my waiver on Ryan Braun and won the claim. However, I did not notice that my commissioner had posted on the league board that he was picking up Gross and that Gross would represent his right to Braun. His waiver was lower than mine of course, and when I received Braun he changed the rosters as commissioner.

Do you think picking up a player like that should be legal? Someone did it in the draft because they weren't listed, but I feel this is a different circumstance.

I believe this goes in commissioners corner... but its cheating if you ask me, and if a commish pulled crap like that in my league I would be REALLY pissed.

If the rules allow this, then fine. I know some of my leagues you can draft a guy not in the database but you have to keep an empty roster spot for the guy. Then when he shows up, you can have him. If this isn't customary, then yeah, it's really bad form.

During the draft sometimes this is allowed, but it is usually agreed upon or set forth in the rules.

Unless you have agreed to do it in season and it is a clearly set forth rule that everyone knows about, its a huge thumbs down from me.

Even if you can do it in-season, it should still be done by waivers.... ie. if someone wants to open up braun before he is technically available, people can make there waiver claims as needed over a set period of time, and in this case, the process by which this happens needs to be set forth prior to the league starting.
