What to Do About Inactive GM?

Postby Metsin06 » Wed May 30, 2007 2:16 pm

Hello everyone. I am running a 10 team CBS Roto league. 8 managers are really active, 1 is inconsistent, and 1 is flat out unresponsive. Its hurting the quality of the league, what should we do? Everyone has a $60 buyin with free agent costs added, so should I make him pay and then kick him out? Another kid has offered to take over his team and claims he can "make it a winner", should I let him in?

Any help would be appreciated.

More specifically, how do I literally kick him out? Hes already got a user name and password in the league.

You really should've collected all of the money at the start of the season... good luck getting it from him now if he's that inactive.

If it's a money league, you're playing a dangerous game kicking out owners that aren't "responsive." If you're not extraordinarily tactful about it, you could end up giving the impression that you don't mind taking money and then arbitrarily dismissing owners that you don't like. Not saying that's the case here. Just making sure you know the pitfall.

I had this problem in my league a few weeks ago, except the guy had paid. I still sent him a refund via PayPal and asked my new owner to pay for the entire year. I did that because, in addition to what I said above, if a new owner is truly dedicated and thinks that the team can win, he will be willing to pay up front.

Good luck! ;-D
