Jimmy Rollins has been a consistent 2nd half player for a few years now - his career average is 20 points higher in the second half.

Last year's 1st half stats (87 games): .259 avg, 9 HR, 31 RBI, and 19 SB
Last year's 2nd half stats (71 games): .298 avg, 16 HR, 52 RBI, and 17 SB.

I know he's been mentioned in this thread already, but I wanted to point out just how juicy a trade target Jimmy is right now, given his mediocre May.

STRONG BUY!

Has Beltran been mentioned? I'm thinking of acquiring him?

Atkins went off second half last year.

Good stuff on Rollins, he's having a better start to the season that in year's past, if he can improve on this start, it's going to be a good time to own him.

Aubrey Huff and Chavez used to be the guys everyone would grab after the first half swoon. I'm not expecting knock out second halfs, but maybe worth buying low

would be nice to get some players names that are likely to be found as free agents, instead of players allready on someones team who are likely going to be hard to get.

You can always try and trade for some of these players, if they are able to be had lower than expected second half value, as well. As for players likely to be found in FA, I'll see what I can't find tomorrow.

Paul Konerko
Travis Hafner

They are both due for a massive 2 month tear to right the ship.

can anyone point out a good source for previous season stats? Not the year totals, I'd like to look at each players incremental numbers and look for some nice patterns/streaks etc.

Where are you guys pulling first half/second half stats from?

I just use the splits on Yahoo for each player.
