Thanks for answering mine. I agree with the obvious points here.... your Pitching is like a MASH unit, and Your bats are guys who are way underacheiving at this point. it's still RELATIVELY early. Hitters can turn it on in a hurry. keep the faith a bit.

well seems like you have a lot of help...but you pitching is very thin and lacking...your bats like sexson/wells havent been anything close to what their past would expect. not sure what to tell you...wait for a hot streak and make a deal for some pitching

thanks for your help

Just off the top of my head (and agreeing somewhat with what has been posted), your bats (I-Rod, Konerko, Jones (uh!), Wells and Furcal) mostly have struggled this first half of the season. While Jones might be done for, I really don't know where Furcal's power has gone... In any case, you sort of have to hope that the law of averages plays to your advantage in the 2nd half.

As for your pitching (and the crazy low number of starts), it looks as if your SPing has some injury / ERA issues as of late with Smoltz sitting and AJ Burnett going on the DL. Kazmir is still throwing tons of Ks but has a rising ERA and doesn't seem to have last year's magic. The good news is that you can be highly selective with your starts and sit out this short DL stints.

Your relief pitching looks relatively solid - though I guess its impact is limited compared to SP and your offense.

C - Ivan Rodriguez
1B - Paul Konerko
2B - Brian Roberts
3B - David Wright
SS - Rafael Furcal
OF - Andruw Jones, Vlad Guerrero, Vernon Wells
Util - David Ortiz
Bench - Richie Sexson, Garrett Atkins

SP - John Smoltz, Scott Kazmir, Rich Harden(DL), AJ Burnett
RP - Billy Wagner, Bobby Jenks, Ryan Dempster, BobWickman, Matt Capps, Octavio Dot
