I would say average age is likely around 25. There are not many people who post here that are under 17... fantasy players in general, i can't say, but I think most people under 17 are too busy with MySpace to keep tabs on a fantasy team all season.

I'm more impressed that he managed to get Sluggers to confess his age.

This is by no means scientific, but I took the ages in a few of the linked threads and averaged them and came up with 27.1 years old. That was from a sample size of 136 guys responding. I added one year to the ages of the guys who responded to the older thread (circa 2005). That's a bit arbitrary, and I could easily have added two years, but some guys responded to both threads and adding the one year from the older one seemed accurate enough.

So there's your answer. Sort of. :-D

My guess would be that the average age of baseballers is a little higher than footballers. Not only is fantasy baseball more time consuming, but baseball as a game is more subdued and takes a little longer to form an appreciation of it I think.

I'm 33.

Sluggers may be 28, but he still hits like a 14 year old girl. :-B

I'm 22 in my 4th year of playing both Fantasy Baseball and Football. I really enjoy FanBaseball more but There are more people who will play football b/c of their knowledge level. When i started playing fanbaseball to be honest i didn't know ANYTHING about baseball but just through playing fantasy i've began a love of the game that i believe will last a lifetime.. kinda gay huh..

I Consider myself a duel fantasy athlete
