CBS Sportsline speculating he could get the call to take Jae Seo's starting rotation spot on June 5th. His minor league numbers have been fantastic this year. What kind of stuff does he have? What kind of format will he have value in if he gets the call? They refer to him as a poor man's James Shields, meaning good ERA, WHIP and K's. Also, how far is Jeff Niemann from getting a call and what's the latest on Wade Townsend?

I think he'll be up soon. The d-rays just can't stick with 3 starters with an era close to 8. Sonnanstine doesn't necessarily strike a lot of guys out so hes not as flashy as the lincecums and gallardos of the world, but the kid knows how to pitch. This fact alone makes me think he'll have decent success this year. Deeray keeps comparing him to a greg maddux type pitcher.


Niemann wont see the majors this year unless something crazy happens, but has more talent than the rest...
