What i heard from the Brewers commentator on TV is that Smoltz left after jamming his pinkie on a Sheets fastball.

That sounds weird to me! ;-7

Not good. Hopefully it was just to be safe.

From Rotoworld:

John Smoltz was removed from Tuesday's game in the fourth inning with an undisclosed injury.

The guess is that his dislocated pinkie was bothering him. Smoltz gave up three runs before departing.

I hope that is all it is....

He swung at a Sheets fastball and hit it awkwardly...threw a pitch the next half inning to Weeks and just walked off the field and the Brewers broadcast crew said he has a broken pinkie finger.

Smoltz broke his bat on an inside fastball from Sheets and on the replay , you could tell it hurt Smoltz's pinky that he hurt a few weeks ago. I hope its just precautionary... Please be ok Smoltzy !!!!

You guys who are watching the game (why is TBS not broadcasting this one?) read this from ESPN.com

News: Smoltz left Tuesday's game against the Brewers after three innings with an apparent shoulder injury.

Spin: We'll have more information as it becomes available, as it's unclear at this time if this injury is related to his collision with Austin Kearns on May 14.

Is this BS?
