Atkins has struggled with the bases loaded so far this year (from what I remember) so this is great to see

I was really hoping that this boston series would be when he changes, it happened with Abreu for me. He was doing horrible and then went to Fenway and hit some balls off the wall and has been awesome ever since. Go fenway

Shhhhh! The first rule of The New Garrett Atkins Thread is that you don't talk in The New Garrett Atkins Thread during the game. The second rule of The New Garrett Atkins Thread is that you DO NOT talk in The New Garrett Atkins Thread during the game! Thanks, Tyler Durden

I don't need to tell y'all why Garrett did not get any hits those last 2 AB's as it's already been pointed out. Nevertheless, great game by GA 1st AB - single off the Monster 2nd AB - grand slam over the Monster 3rd AB - double off the Monster (just missed another HR) 3-5 with 4 RBI's Total stats in the 13 games since this thread: 16/49, 6 doubles, 2 HR's, 11 runs, 9 RBI's, 1 sb, .326 AVG, .431 OBP, .571 SLG, 1.00 OPS

I guess all it took was me putting him on the bench today for the first time in several weeks!

Can someone that watched the game today tell me how he looked at the plate and how hard he hit these balls?
