Conor Jackson for you folks. I love it. If the DBacks start hitting to go along with their how the pitching has played we could come along sooner then is expected.

Pitching is due for a collapse though so in the end it will probably even out.

looks like moving him up in the order might have helped, too. in 68 AB's in the 2-hole his line has been (.309/.397/.529). in 62 AB's everywhere else (mostly 5th and 6th) he went for .242/.390/.274
and you have to wonder if mark reynolds hasn't put a charge in him. jackson might be looking at less PT if he was still hitting .230 when tracy came off the DL
*sidenote* according to arizona republic, the dbacks have hit .291 collectively since reynolds arrived (.240 before)

Brad Hawpe is very hot too. 11/24, 7 R, 4 HR, 9 RBI in the past week.

Hawpe's a classic platoon guy. He's a great investment if you're willing to watch the pitchers he's facing and bench him vs. the lefties, but otherwise you're going to see him go through bad stretches when he's facing an inordinate amount of southpaws.
Still, that's a nice week he's put together. Oh, and Jackson was 1/5 with 2R and 2RBI (and a walk) tonight. w00t.

Would you rather have Jackson or Dan Johnson for the remainder of the year?
