Think he'll get a taste this year or when Schill hits the bricks next year?
He's somewhat underrated but I think he's right up there w/ Hughes, Bailey & Gooooolardo.
Before the year i rated him in the top 20 prospects in baseball, higher than anyone else that i saw. So far he has done nothing to make me think i over-rated him.

They have said publicly that he will not be up this season, even in September. They have plenty of options available to be fill-in starters if necessary, Lester (Tavarez), Gabbard, Snyder, Alvarez, Hansack, Pauley, and Runelvys all with major league experience. However if they're up 20+ games in Sept. I don't see why they wouldn't trot him out there for a home start versus a Tampa or Baltimore to see how he handles himself in a no pressure situation.
I may be a bit of a homer, but I love the kid. And I think more of Bowden.
Surpisingly they had the game on tv and he seemed to really struggle with his command in that game. Good stuff, but couldn't control his fastball well. According to the announcers, that has been a recurring problem for him.

John Sickles says he has a great combo of 'stuff & command.' And from what I heard, he looked better than clemens that day and He allowed a few cheap hits ...
Buchholz now has a 1.70 era and 80 strikeouts in 58 and 1/3 ip.

That he's 22 and on AA is a tick against him, but I realize he hasn't been pitching very long, and he has been fantastic.
The Red Sox really are going to have some frightening pitching the next 3-5 years with Beckett, Dice-K, Papelbon, Lester, Bowden, Buccholz, and a multitude of other arms in their system.
