no one will have a lincecum impact, gallardo might be close
but he should be fairly solid,

doesn't walk anyone, i already have had might stashed for 3 weeks
granted its a pitching favored keeper league

slowey is almost at 1 per inning, he is absolutely dominating right now,
i hate freddy g. but i'd likely find someone else to drop, or wait a start, but slowey might be gone by then

Slowey relies on locating his fastball in about 75% of his pitches. He does not have an overpowering fastball either so his strikeout rate will decrease, possibly dramatically at the big league level. He could be very effective, but he doesn't have the stuff to maintain a high strikeout rate.

The call has not yet been made. It is "expected" by the local paper as the caoching staff is having a meeting with Ortiz. A move then would "open the door" for Slowey.

This said, I picked him up - but it's not like he's guaranteed to start even this week.
