Players coming off the D/L - quick Yahoo question

Postby bretnsid » Mon May 28, 2007 12:33 am

I have Iwamura who should be coming off the DL monday, my roster is filled so i will be over the limit once he is out of my DL slot.

How will yahoo deal with this? Does he stay in the DL slot until i move him out myself? Or will yahoo automatically move him out b/c he is no longer DL eligible..

thanks for the help!

He will stay on the DL, but you will be prevented from making any transactions until you move him off of the DL.

Not only that, you have to drop someone BEFORE you move him off DL. And since it takes a day to process the drop, you have to do this a day ahead. It costed me a few good stats when Bonderman and El Duque came off DL. Don't make the same mistake.

Unless someone knows of a better way please let us know.

If you don't need to start him immediately, keep him on DL. If you have someone else who goes on DL, then you can swap them, effective the next day you are eligible to make changes.

Otherwise, you have to suck it up, drop someone, then wait a day to put him in.

I don't think you can make trades, either, if your roster is ineligible, but I'm not sure about that.

When a player loses his DL status, you can keep him on the DL for as long as you wish. During that time, however, you will not be able to make trades nor acquire/drop a player, only make moves from your bench to play and vice-versa.

Like it was said above, if your roster is full, you will have to drop a player to get your DL'd player active again. And once your guy from the DL is put on your active roster, he will be available the next day.
