I just traded for him. Should I be worried?? Will he heat up???

He's a veteran, and it's not as if veterans forget how to hit overnight, but aside from his 5 HR's he only has 1 XBH (a double). I'm sure he's just an adjustment or two in his swing/stance away from being back to the player he was last year.....right?

What do you guys think?

He could be the player he was last year but I seriously doubt that happens anytime soon. Still, he was a very good hitter before that, with a good OPS and particularly good OBP.

Basically, I think he will be good but not nearly as good as people were hoping for when they drafted him/traded for him in the offseason (myself included).

No clue. I don't get it. His 2006 season would have gotten him the MVP in any other year. This year, SIX XBH in 2 months batting ahead of Carlos Lee. Now they're giving him more time in the outfield, where he's more likely to get hurt. Maybe getting Biggio out of the lead-off spot will help?. :-o
