Casey Kotchman?

He has been hitting very well lately, .409 with 11 rbi over his last 15 games. He was a 1st rounder and plays some great defense too..what do you guys think of him?

I think he's a decent speculative add in deep mixed leagues and a solid buy in AL only. He seems to be rounding into form, but the only problem is that that form is a 1B with below average power. If you are desperate at UTIL, I would grab him, but only if guys like Kouzmanoff/Willits/Quentin are gone. As I write this, he gets his third hit of the day. He just might be for real. I would be a little concerned with playing time in that lineup once everyone is healthy though.

Even though he is hitting well looks like the Angels will keep Willits in the lineup when Anderson comes back. Kotchman will platoon with Quinlan at first base.

I think Kotch will get the majority of time at first when everyone is healthy. He is defensively superior to anyone else at first and that is a huge plus for him. He doesn't have a lot of power but I think he will hit around 20 homers. I like him better than Overbay.
