This kid has had six starts this season where's given up 1 or less runs, with just two wins to show for it. The Giants gotta give this guy some support...

I went to bed last night when Cain left the game.I figured I'd wake up with a Win.But what did I get?I get a LOSS because of Benitez. He's a closer my team, I'd love to get rid of.

I wish SF would do something to improve thier Bullpen.I have Lincecum also, so I worry everytime he leaves a game with a lead as well.

Can say the same to Bedard

His last 5 games

2.57 era
1.29 era
3.86 era
0 era
3 era

And the only decision has been a L!!! In all of them he pitched 6+ innings to..I'd be mad if I was him :-t

can say nearly the same about El Duque:

5 of his 6 starts he has allowed 1 run or less, and he has only 2 W's to show.

His last 2 starts were shutouts and no-decisions.

the kicker is he has the Mets' offense behind him - how in the world did he not win all those games?

i really needed that damn W from matt cain. Im now tied in the W cat and losing the L cat. All because of the enemic San fran offense. But I'm so torn because of my feelings.....Im a huge dodger fan! :-o

Cain will probably only get half the W's he deserves, same for Lincecum. They don't call our closer Blownitez for nothing.

Too bad the Giants don't have that young infield that the Brewers have going. Can you imagine Lincecum and Cain surrounded with that kind of talent? 8-o

Every season there are pitchers doing a great job but not getting Ws. Doug Davis a couple years ago for the Brewers, Radke for the Twins, now Cain and Bedard, amongst others. It's why W/L is the most worthless and misleading stat in baseball.

Both Cain and Bedard are in my team. :~( :~( :~(
but that's exact the reason why they didn't get drafted high,
have to live with that. :-P
