Damon not expected to play Sat

Postby NittanyMeteo » Sat May 26, 2007 12:27 am

From the Angels-Yankees recap on Yahoo Sports:

"New York may have lost center fielder Johnny Damon, too. He left early because of leg cramps, won't play Saturday and could wind up on the disabled list...Damon will be re-evaluated Saturday. "My legs felt a little shot all day," he said."

Plan accordingly.

seriously, put him on the dl and let him get fully healthy...he's not the damon that we've known in the past.

I'm really sick of this guy. I don't care if he plays in the most loaded lineup in baseball, he's not worth it anymore if he's just going to play 4 days a week. Either suck it up or swallow your pride and hit the DL :-t

Susan Waldman (Yankee color) said she doubts he will play until Friday vs. Boston. I'm dropping him for Madson

Traded him at the beginning of the season for fellow yankee Matsui.

i got damon off waivers in one league, and got him mid round in another, so i'm not real disappointed.

Leg cramps? The guy either needs to drink more fluids or take some Midol.

I wish they would just put him on the DL. I hate having a guy just half hurt on my team taking up an active roster space. Also, that way maybe he can fully heal.

I wanted to make a Damon for Willingham offer but I pulled it back after this most recent leg cramp report.
