How many leagues use a minor league system?

This is the first year our league has started a minors system. Curious what has worked for some of your leagues that have tried it.

We allow Major League Players to be on a fantasy minor league roster, provided they:
*aren't in their 4th year or greater,
*haven't won ROTY,
*haven't been an all-star
*haven't received a Cy Young or MVP vote.

Otherwise, anyone in the minors who is major league property is eligible.

We only allow an owner to have a given amount of minor league players equal to 3 minus the number of playoff appearances in the last two years. I wonder if that could be expanded?

Any thoughts would be great.

I'm in a league with a 5-man minor league roster. You can only keep someone on the minor league roster if they are still eligible for the rookie of the year, based on MLB's rules.

Minor leaguers can be kept indefinitely (provided they are eligible to be on the minor league roster, per the above).
