I agree with you here, to an extent. Cappy and Suppan are just regressing a bit to the norm. They were both over the heads to start the season. So, I wouldn't call that falling apart per se. Sheets has done the opposite -- he's been pitching much better of late with an improving K rate ( in other words, returning to the norm ). Vargas and Bush are the problems. I expect Vargas to struggle, but Bush is really frustrating me. I expected much more. He won't finish the season with a 6+ ERA, so that's bound to improve. But, I no longer think he'll get under 4 either. The team has two potentially bigtime young pitchers in Villanueva and Gallardo though, and they could become huge if Vargas/Bush continue to struggle. I'm pretty confident we'd be better with them in there than Vargas/Bush at their best anyway.
