I watched "the rookie of the year" with my kids last night. It was made in 1993 and starred gary busey.
In one scene, it shows this 11-year old kid mowing down then-current MLB stars like Bobby Bonilla, etc. At one point, a 160-pound Pittsburgh Pirate swings, strikes out, and walks away from the plate shaking his head. My son says - hey! that was barry bonds!. No way, I think, so we go back and watch it again. Sure enough. It was him.
What an amazing physical transformation he's gone through. He was a stick of a guy back then. Unbelievable.

So was I. You should see what age has done to me. lol
The glass is neither half full nor half empty... It is simply a glass
Haha yeah that song was definately lame. It puts all this blame on Bud Selig like it was all his fault when any true baseball fan knows that the MLB players union ultimately runs baseball. Yeah selig could have pushed for steroid testing but i dont think, unless there was a public push for it especially by congress, anything would have happened regardless...

Same here. The only difference being I can still wear caps I wore back then.
First of all, that was just bad. It wasn't entertaining at all, and the music was terrible.
Second of all, why is it that Pete Rose should be allowed into the HOF (because according to the video, Selig is an idiot for not allowing that to happen)?
Why is what he did seen as better in the court of public opinion than what Barry supposedly did? I've never understood this. Taking steroids when it wasn't even agaisnt the rules is worse than betting on baseball when you're a manager?
