I'm in the same situation as the OP.
However, if I wake up early on Sunday morning, is there a way to tell if someone in the league put in a claim for Gallardo? (this way I can choose NOT to use my waiver)
My friend told me if he hasn't cleared waivers by ~6:50AM EST, than someone has put in a claim and is getting "sorted" out.
I've noticed when players clear waivers and nobody put a claim on them they usually clear closer to 6:30AM EST.
Thoughts?

That's what I've always done. I don't know how early I usually check, all I remember is that it was pretty early.
