wouldn't it make more sense if Fuentes became Mo's setup guy?

Ahh.. that would make a lot more sense.

What are some speculations on who the Yankees are potentially going to deal? Giambi?

High time for a trade. What the Yankees need is more offense. You can't win the World Series with pitching alone! How about Clemens for Helton?

Knowing the Rox's we'll ask for Meinneineintiwcz and Giambi and Melky Cabrera

So then we can have 3 1st basement and 10 of's on the team

We won't get crap back for Helton or Fuentes. and rockies ownership is stupid to even consider dealing those guys

why would this make sense?!? They aren't going to get much in return for Fuentes...

Are you serious? A dominant lefty reliever with proven closing experience won't get much in return? How long have you followed baseball?

Um he's right what are we going to get?

Maybe Giambi (Worse then helton and also in the midst of some MLB slaps on the wrist) plus we don't need a 1B with Baker, Stewart, and Joe K in the wings.

Or maybe Kyle Farnsworth !! Wooo a used up bum loser who throws 97 mph down the middle of the plate or someones head.

Or maybe melky cabrera to pinch hit taking away ab's for Baker.

The Rox's management stinks and if they do this the best they could do still won't be good enough

(Unless we get Arod :) ha )

We won't get anything worth while :-D

Yoda, these types of trades happen all the time and the teams trading a solid reliever generally don't get much in return to justify it... they will probably get a couple of middle of the road prospects or Farnsworth and a PTBNL.....

is that worth it for Fuentes?? If they throw Helton into the deal as well, then I would think they would make the Yanks pay a bit more, but I am sure getting rid of Helton's contract would have to be part of any deal involving Fuentes....

I'm not talking about just the Yanks. Overall, teams are always scrambling for relievers. Rox could definitely get something very good for Fuentes from someone.

Playes I would want as a Rockies fan:

Cano (Not leaving NY: No backup)
Jeter (yea right)
Arod (Veto trades)
Posada(Yea right)
Matsui (Yea Right)
Mariano Rivera (yea right)
Phil Hughes (Yea right)

So that leaves the Rox's with a choice of:

Abreu (Stinky and old and no power and we have a RF)
Damon (broken down)
Giambi (League is ready to fine him and not as good Helton)
Mientwickazy (Can't hit)
Melky Cabreara (Pinch Hitter at best)
The Yankees Bullpen (The rockies already have a minor league pen)
Yankees SP (Cause the yankees don't need SP)

So basically we are hosed getting rid of our best pitcher and a veteran leader on the team

ya basically teams trade their best players with big contracts to the Yanks for virtually nothing just to get rid of the contract....

it's ridiculous!!!

Maybe I should clarify again. I didn't mean that Fuentes would be moved to the Yanks. I was referring to a team in need of bullpen help come trading deadline.
