In all three of my fantasy leagues (cbs 10 to 12 team 5x5 roto) garko is still up for grabs. He's on pace to hit 30 homeruns, and has been declared the everyday 1st baseman. His stats are:
126 AB, 18 R, 6 HR, 15 RBI, .325 BA
Last night he hit 8th in the lineup where previously he was hittng 5th. The Indians lineup is pretty good, and I know peralta is hot right now, but I would think he belongs in the 5th spot. Where does he rank among 1st basemen at this point and why is he only owned by 54% of cbs owners?
"Intriguing" is good word usage to describe him. He's 1 for 3 so far tonite with a run & 2 rbi's. He's hitting 6th, and seems to have good plate discipline. Yeah, definitely intriguing is the correct word.
Funny that you created this thread because I have been watching hi for a bit and after tonights game I was looking for some insight on him. Thinking about giving him a shot in my 12 teamer. Indians lineup should be able to score some runs....

Do you have a link for that? I hadn't heard that yet. I've been hoping something would work out since I drafted him, but I hadn't heard a final decision made yet.

Garko has been named the everyday 1st baseman by manager eric wedge. Blake now rotates 3rd and RF based on the righty/lefty thing.
Will Hafner and VMart get some reps at 1B?
Garko is the Indians "full-time" 1B. Blake is going to take majority at 3rd, and OF on days Marte plays 3rd.
I say "full-time" b/c Hafner has already played 1B three times during AL play in order to prepare for NL away games. Garko will be sitting all 10 of those games, and perhaps 1 or 2 more, is my bet. Besides that, there's not much to dislike abut this guy.
Garko, at 26.3yrs of age, since he took over full-time at start of May:
