This is way too early to be giving up on someone like Konerko, its not even the All-Star Break yet
His numbers for the past week:
.333 BA, 7 Runs, 1 HR, 1 RBI
This is a guy who has averaged about 40HR's and 100RBI with a .280 average for the last two years. With Thome back and Dye hitting well, I expect similar numbers this year. I benched him for awhile but after the last week I'm starting him
I'm not sure how his hammy has affected his play so far, the info from rotoworld makes it seem like its not too serious:
Konerko has been dealing with a minor strain of his left hamstring lately, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Spin: "It has been there for a while, but it hasn't gotten any worse," said Konerko. "It's nothing that will keep me out of the lineup, but we have four months to go." At this point, this doesn't sound like anything that will affect the sloth-like Konerko.
