After his terrible start, Francis has turned things around. In his last 4 outings he is 2-0 and owns a 1.53 ERA.

He has not gotten a lot of run support which is why he is only 3-4 on the season. I'm not saying he is the next big thing, but I believe he can develop into the Rockies' ace(not a hard task) in the future. What are some thoughts on this lefty?

1) CO Rockies pitcher
2) His name is Francis
Actually he could be useful, especially in daily leagues where you could bench at home, start on the road. He's someone I'm watching.

He was good at times last year too. He just doesn't K enough people and walks a few too many to thrive in that park as a non groundball pitcher.

Um he already is and has been the rox's ace for a few years.
But yea he's a good pitcher who gets 0 run support. He was minor league player of the year a few years back I believe.
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

Pretty weak hitting teams in his last 4 starts.
I wouldn't put to much stock into him.
Baseball is the only field of endeavor where a man can succeed three times out of ten and be considered a good performer.

Worthy as a spot-starter on the road against the weaker teams. (I spot started him yesterday against the DBs and was nicely rewarded.) But starting him in Coors against a strong lineup is Russian Roulette with a two-barrel bazooka.

Is that worse than normal Russian Roulette? I mostly stick to team sports. Mostly.

Yes, much worse! You have a 1-in-2 chance of getting the death chamber (as opposed to 1-in-6 with normal roulette) and the bazooka blast is more comparable to the potential damage in Coors against a hot-hitting team.
