Those *&%$ ads on sportsline.com

I like to keep the mlb gamecenter up in a window while doing other stuff however recently those video ads are becoming quite annoying, playing every few mintues. I hate to mute my sound just because of them though.

does anyone know a way to stop these ads from playing, maybe disabling flash for sportsline.com or something like that?

I have one for ESPN but not Sportsline. You need Firefox and Greasemonkey though. You could do it with Firefox and Adblock as well pretty easy.

LOL. With all of the programs and add-ons that are making the internet annoyance free it's like the old days before commercialism hit the net....but you don't have to wait 5 minutes for your page to load.

The only problem with these things is it makes companies more crafty by adding 30 seconds of ads before you watch a video which is probably more annoying than an ad in the corner. I'm sure that would have happened anyway though Adblock or not.

True, but they are not annoyances. They aren't videos that you have to turn your sound down for or huge banner ads that are an eyesore. I only block annoying ads or block all ads for sites that don't know how to produce a decent looking webpage (cough...Myspace....cough...ESPN)

i like the foxsports.com gamecenter better then the sportsline one. if sportsline irks you i highly recommend giving foxsports a try

True, but they are not annoyances. They aren't videos that you have to turn your sound down for or huge banner ads that are an eyesore. I only block annoying ads or block all ads for sites that don't know how to produce a decent looking webpage (cough...Myspace....cough...ESPN)
