As in trade, suspend, or cut? :-?

gone. All the bigs are huddling right now. Right now he is out taking BP, but the Rays are under pressure to get him gone from the team all together

they had to have known about these incidents before the story broke, right? i mean, he confronted her in the classroom in april. how long after/before that were the texts, phone calls made?

Anyone else feel just a tad bit sorry for this guy? Im in no way defending a wife beater or a guy that threatens women, but Im sure somewhere growing up, his head got messed up bad and he was taught that it was acceptable to act like this.

I just feel sorry that a guy this talented is throwing his life away.

I recall that Julio Lugo was cut from the Astros after allegations that he beat up his wife or girlfriend.

if he were a child i would feel bad. he is a grown man and despite the supposedly numerous issues, he has gotten multiple chances to use his talents and make good money playing a game everyone on this board would give anything to play. if all this is true (and it looks like it is) i don't feel bad for him one bit.

So, any word on how bad this is going to affect his playing time next week?
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!

The best part of that ESPN article:

ESPN wrote:When approached by the newspaper before Tuesday night's game, Dukes declined to comment on Gilbert's allegations.

"I'm just going to play ball, that's it," Dukes told the newspaper. "I've got to go. I've got a video game to finish."
"The game has a cleanness. If you do a good job, the numbers say so. You don't have to ask anyone or play politics. You don't have to wait for the reviews." - Sandy Koufax
