Congrats to Sammy.

Some day I'll be able to tell my daughter that when she was 4 days old she was sitting on the couch with me watching Sammy hit #600.

Forget him.

I see he went to English classes over the last couple of years. At his presser tonight he sounded at ease, cordial, and smart. But man, put a few Congressman in front of him he is a scared 'roider with a history of corked bats.

Congrats to Sammy, 600 is tough to get, juice or no juice.

One of my favorite things about when guys from the steroids era hit milestone homers is that you usually get to see a montage of important homers they've hit throughout their careers, including their first. And that's when you just have to laugh at seeing what guys like Sammy and Barry used to look like back in the day, in their natural states. Cracks me up every time...

I was at the game sitting near where the ball was hit out.... it was a pretty special moment, the entire place just went insane. the tension had been built for 2 nights, camera flashes were going off everywhere each time a pitch was thrown to him.

Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire saved baseball. Everyone was all ready to accept football as America's game. If the world had liked Barry Bonds a little more, this would be a great celebration. Too bad some folks are all high and mighty. I'd love to have a look in some of their closets.
