Sosa 600 HR's watch

Postby wrveres » Wed May 23, 2007 4:30 am

can't believe we don't have this going ...

He is currently at 598 career HR's and has only two to go.

MLB.com wrote:One run is all the Rangers got, and Sosa was the one who provided it. Sosa belted a 3-2 fastball into the bleachers in deep center field in the second inning at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, leaving him two home runs short of 600 for his career.

He is two homers away from being only the fifth player in Major League history to hit 600 career home runs.

The other four are Hank Aaron, Barry Bonds, Babe Ruth and Willie Mays.

"I'm not even thinking about that right now," Sosa said after the game. "I'm just coming here to do my job every day."

apparently nobody else is either.
How sad and pathetic have we become as fans, to not celebrate 600 HR's.

I am pulling for ya Dominican Daddy .. ;-D
I hope you hit 700!!

you have any proof of that?
Or just wild speculation that you drummed up during the witch hunt.
To this day I have yet to hear one person come forward and accuse Sosa of steroids.
Other than the Media and a bunch of bitter fans that feel like baseball owes them something..

so yeah, how about a link to your accusations.
I know you spent a good twenty minutes digging up pictures trying to be funny, and it wasn't, so I figure a link with somebody saying, "I sold them to him" or "he failed a piss test" shouldn't be that hard for you then, no?

Enjoy your Sosa celebration whatever it may be. I guess I'm just too "sad and pathetic" to get excited.

I dunno if I'm buying that as 'proof'. If you lift weights for 20 years, it seems likely that you will get quite a bit bigger.

Over the same period of time, many people get bigger as they age and their metabolism slows so the 12 oz curls adn donuts don't get burnt off the way they used to.

I will go ahead and root for Sosa as well...have fun w/ tossing syringes around if that's what amuses you...

Mod edit. This is really getting old. Just stay out of the thread altogether if steroids is all you can say. :-°

Good lord stop the hate... Can we just celebrate one damn milestone without the steroid allegations? Just one is all I ask.

When ARod or Griffey makes a major milestone I'll be there cheering. Bonds and Sosa are so tied up with the steroid issues I'm just not interested.
