yeah thats exactly what i was going to post. the walks and the patience are definitely the good sign. him trying to run is a good thing too. im glad hes struggling alittle bit though. at least he knows its not a cake walk in the majors. i like to see the highly regarded guys take their bumps. but thats just the hater in me
I went to the game last night and he was still swinging at the worst pitches. I wonder if the Twins told Boof to throw nothing but bad pitches to him and Boof just threw too bad of pitches. It seems really odd that overnight he would stop swinging at terrible pitches and pick up 3 walks.
Also, note that Nathan is a pure fastball pitcher, and it's been said that Gordon is a fastball hitter. He had a good matchup there.
I think in a month or so he'll be fine, but I can't believe that he found a way to lay off bad pitches overnight.
is Alex Gordon now starting to turn things around and going to become a productive player?
back to back games now where he has had 2 hits, and has hit safely in 5 straight games, plus 2 SB. he doesnt have a HR or any RBI during that stretch, but the hits are promising yes? and should one expect him continue this and also get some HR/RBI?
Gordon had a nice 2/4 day today with a single and a double and a Run scored. However he's still only batting .208 over his last half-month, today included. I guess any signs of life at this point are a good thing.
