Edwin Encarnacion

Any thoughts on Edwin Encarnacion? He's been recalled to fill the Josh Hamilton void, or lack thereof. He really stunk it up early this year but his numbers in AAA so far are rather impressive. In 11 games he's hit .413, 3 HR, 12 R, 7 RBI, and 1 SB. I need someone to replace Blalock so it's either him or Blake.

like him, he'll get his PT now that hamilton is on the shelf, but don't be surprised when he sits once or twice a week for castro (yeah i know, but it happens)

i've been on this guy's bandwagon for a long time, hope he picks it up. It seems like the Reds hate him, so hopefully he'll get enough PT to stay consistent.

Maybe if he'd run to 1B and do a little hitting the Reds would like him a lot better. :-P
