This is kind of random, but it's been on my mind of late, and wonder if anyone has any info.
I used to have, loaded on on of my PC's a great program called MAME, which was an emulator for old-school, acrade (coin-op) video games of the early 80s.
It, and a ton of MAME "ROMS" (games) were loaded onto my PC years ago by a guy who worked IT for a hospital my wife used to work for. I lost it all when I had to re-install Windows on that PC a while back.
He's long gone from that job, and my wife is at another hospital, and I don't even remember his name, so I can't hit him up for help.
Anyway, I loved it, and wish I still had it. I tried to DL it off a MAME site, but it didn't work after I DL'd it and unzipped it. As I recall, there were several tricks involved in getting it to run, and I'm not savvy enough to put the right things in the right folders.
My question is, does anyone else even HAVE it, and if so, is there a relatively easy-to-follow set of instructions, on how to get it to run games on the PC?
If this makes no sense to anyone, I apologize.
Thanks in advance for any help.
