Q: How can a pitcher lose a game w/o throwing a single pitch? (may be more than one right answer)

No, I mean how can a pitcher gets an "L" (on record), when he didn't throw a single pitch.

He comes into the game with a runner on 3rd, game tied, tries to pick off the runner, but throws it into left fiedl- runner scores, game over.

Well technically that run is charged to the previous pitcher. But let me make it more difficult.
Q: How can a pitcher start a game and get an "L", without throwing a single pitch?

He would have to do something illegal like go his mouth 4 times which would walk the runner then there's an error on a pickoff attempt and the runner somehow scoress from 1st.
I'm sure the answer you're thinking of is much better, or at least I hope so.
