Don't expect to see him for some time still. They'll ride Silva for as long as they can possibly justify it due to his salary, and they're not going to call Slowey up for a 2 week stint in the bullpen. I'd say he has a better chance of getting the call if they choose to remove Ortiz from the rotation.

yep
I think Slowey gets the next chance, the Twins seems to think Garza needs lots of work.

The Star-Tribune wrote:Gardenhire also gave an interesting answer when asked if the team would consider using Matt Garza and Kevin Slowey to patch their bullpen holes.
“They will not go to the bullpen,” Gardenhire said. “They’re close to being ready to pitch up here, and if we keep struggling in our rotation, we can make a move like that, move one of those guys.”
Since both questions are opinion-based, then I'll say the answer is yes to both. Silva is 0-4, 6.17 in his last 4 starts and Ortiz is 0-3, 11.74 in his last 4 starts. Slowey will get his chance in June.
He's kept his walks down at every level and he works efficiently while keeping the ball in the park. While I like Yo Gallardo better for fantasy, it's tough to ignore Slowey at this point.
Both valid concerns, and I'd say yes to both. He has similar stuff to Radke and the same type of great control. If he locates his pitches well and maintains command, he can have success.
If Ortiz struggles tonight, I think Slowey is up. He's been pitching too well and the Twins have too much ground to make up for them not to find another solid starter.

I have NO DOUBT that Slowey can be a Radke, but a lot of people is expecting more than that. Remember, Radke was hardly a spectacular type and is usually a consistent #3-4 fantasy SP at best. I know a few people that think Slowey can be a #2 or #1. I have serious doubts about that.
