J.D. Drew? More like J.D. Poo........

Any Boston fans know what's going on with him?

Is he hitting the ball hard just right at people? It doesn't even seem like he's drawing walks either.

Nagging injuries???

did you just call JR Drew.....JD poo dung beatle? hehe

I just think JD Drew is a crappy player. Serves him right for lieing and ditching the dodgers. Im glad he's gone from the Dodgers now anyways.

Theres tlak of possibly moving him up in the order to jumpstart him but who knows

I guess my feeling on Drew is that even if he picks it up some....his stats would be good if he were a Shortstop or 2nd Basemen....but for an outfielder....he is just be average to below.

I think he's slumping right now because he started the season off great. I also think his back is bothering him right now from that hit he took from the wall trying to rob the homer last week.

Drew is an enormous pansy. He'll sit out any chance he gets and only really seems to perform up to his potential when seeking the big contract. Granted, some of the injuries he's had are simply due to bad luck but in addition he has always has some other nagging injury that keeps his numbers down. JD's the one guy I avoid in fantasy at all costs.

Why should anyone be surprised at Drew this season? He's doing exactly what he's done for 6 of 7 years now: offensive outbursts followed by usually long periods of slump and/or injury. Both Boston and any fantasy owner who drafted him got just "as advertized," no more and no less.

What's going on with him is that he's JD Drew. And this is how JD Drew has performed, and always will perform, in the world of fantasy.... choose any word to describe him but they all apply:
disappointing, overvalued, fragile... take your pick.

As a former/recovering JD Drew owner, let me offer two words of advice: Lose him.

Boston Homer Here - I am not sure what is wrong with Drew. He seems to take a lot of pitches and gets into 0-2 counts very frequently. Then he isn't hitting the ball very solid/hard. This was occurring before his back injury so I don't think that this caused it. He's on my bench for now but I'll keep him on my roster. If he gets hot he will have plently of RBI chances with Youk, Ortiz and Manny batting in front of him.
