Kaz Matsui activated from DL

Postby avsfan4ever33 » Mon May 21, 2007 11:09 pm

Was a fairly hot commodity before he went on the DL, and he's finally back.

He's starting right where he left off, hitting in the two hole. He has an RBI double so far tonight.

Edit: Oops, here's the blurb from Rotoworld:

Rockies activated infielder Kaz Matsui from the 15-day disabled list.

Matsui will get his starting job back after missing five weeks. The disappointing thing is that he's going right back into the second spot in the lineup, even though Troy Tulowitzki hit .297/.387/.429 there. He scored 17 runs in 23 games. Tulo is batting seventh tonight, leaving him with less fantasy value.

im happy to say Im a new owner of Kaz Matsui. I dropped Kouzmanoff for him. Matsui has been playing well for the rockies since joining them at the end of last season. If healthy, Kaz should have a great productive year! Hitting behind Weeks and in front of Helton and Holliday is awsome.

any idea if the injury will affect his SB? He was tearing it up earlier and his main source of value (at least for me) but it seems any kind of injury stops hitters from running will this happen to Kaz?

before the injury, it looked like Kaz was gonna contribute big in the steals cat. But now, since the injury and the ways helton and Holiday are hitting, i think they'll just be happy him getting on base and not running as much. but Im sure he'll still end up with at least 25 steals....

Ha, funny, I did the same thing today. I waited and waited for Chone but he just sucks toooo much right now. And really, look at KazMat's numbers and he's basically what you hope Chone can be (as long as he steals a few here and there).
