I sold him for Bay earlier this year. I had been nervous about him. I had Renteria also, so I feel better to be rid of him.
That said, I honestly wouldn't consider dropping him in any format. I think he's still a top 10 SS and somebody out there would glady give you something for him. Shop him around.

The guy has reached 20 HR each of the last 8 seasons as a SS, has only failed to reach 100 RBI once in 7 years (98, in 2005), and has failed to reach 90 Runs just once in the same span (89, in 2005). He's averaging about 650 AB a season, which for this year, if he continued to underperform, would put him at 80 Runs, 68 RBI, and 8 HR. I have a real tough time believing he'll finish with anything near as low as those totals, despite his drop off the 2nd half of last year which has seemingly carried over. He may not put up his typical numbers we've come to expect, but I think the notion of dropping him is still way extreme.
Agree'd he may not put up the huge power numbers but he is an excellent hitter. Unfortunately Baltimore is very very bad. Maybee he'll finally get his wish and be traded. (Cubs would be a good spot)
He was one of the guys mentioned in Canseco's book, wasn't he?
Changed his swing, huh?
The ironic thing is that I was at the Twins opener against Baltimore and Tejada hit a huge HR to center, well over 420 feet. There I sit, thinking, "Oh, that's good, glad to have him on my team".
i see him finsihing around .310/20/90. he's past his prime and his slugging% fell every year since '04. a disappointment based on where he was drafted, but still a very useful fantasy player.
still a lock to hit .300 over 650 ABs. how many SS's can you say that about?
