Is there something wrong with Tejada? He's got a decent BA (just over .300) but that's really all there is and even that is on the way down. Out of my 11 batters, he's 11th in R/AB, 11th in HR/AB and 10th in RBI/AB.

Anyone outright dropped him yet? Is there any hope for later in the season?

He's annoying me but there is no way you drop him;This guy has to much of a track record to be chucking him like waiver wire fodder.

Dropped him? The guy has reached 20 HR each of the last 8 seasons as a SS, has only failed to reach 100 RBI once in 7 years (98, in 2005), and has failed to reach 90 Runs just once in the same span (89, in 2005). He's averaging about 650 AB a season, which for this year, if he continued to underperform, would put him at 80 Runs, 68 RBI, and 8 HR. I have a real tough time believing he'll finish with anything near as low as those totals, despite his drop off the 2nd half of last year which has seemingly carried over. He may not put up his typical numbers we've come to expect, but I think the notion of dropping him is still way extreme.

I agree that dropping him would be foolish. However, I believe he'll keep this pace of hitting unfortunately. He's one of the players that simply won't perform up to his draft value. Tejada has said he changed his swing towards the 2nd half of last season to hit for average rather than power which is unfortunate for fantasy owners.

I agree. I'm not intending to drop him, just interested in finding out what others think the prognosis for the rest of the season is.

He is riding the pine though, until there's an upswing. I also don't see the point in him hitting for average - on that team, who's going to bat him in with any regularity? Right now Miguel is pretty much a one tool guy.

I can't imagine he'd stay in the 3 hole much longer when all he's doing is aiming for singles. I can see Markakis or someone else with more power taking over the 3 hole and bumping Tejada to 2nd. Funston's big board pretty much said it - 12 HR's in last 151 games and there's no sign of that changing.

Lol. This guy is driving me nuts in my family pool. The rest of my offence is doing well but he is killing me. I have tried over and over again to deal this guy and no one wants him.
