Including where each starter goes 1-5 and who gets what role in the bullpen.

Theres so much debate about this that I think there will be some great opinions.

Starters

Postby Cards5 » Wed Jan 21, 2004 11:20 pm

I'll give it a shot

1. Hernandez
2. Anderson
3. Appier
4. Affeldt or Gobble
5. May

Gobble or Affeldt
?
?
Sullivan
setup Grimsley
Cls MacDougal

I wonder if Appier would be a good Closer?

Uhhh Run. Hernandez is gone for all of 2004 man....

my stab here is

1. Brian Anderson
2.. Darrell May
3. Kyle Snyder
4. Kevin Apppier
5. Jimmy Gobble or Joe Dawley

RP Miguel Ascensio
RP D.J. Carrasco or Nate Field
RP Scott Sullivan
SU1 Curtis Leskanic
SU2 Mike Macdougal
CL Jeremy Affeldt

- I see a Greinke getting called up around June 1.
- Whoever of Dawley and Gobble doesnt make the $5 spot will more than likely go and start the year in AAA Omaha.

My shot

Postby Calnoah » Fri Jan 23, 2004 3:18 am

1 B. Anderson
2 D. May
3 K Appier
4 K. Snyder (stay healthy!)
5 Greinke

BP
Grimsley/Sullivan set up
Macdougald/ Ascensio
Closer-Affeldt

Need Gobble/Greinke/Feld/Carrasco to eat up innings. Needp 200 innings from Ape or need a trade. Edwin Jackson/Joel Hanrahan for Beltran?

Ok my turn:

1. May
2. Anderson
3. Grienke
4. Gobble
5. Appier/Snynder (who ever is healthy)

BP
Carrasco, Sullivan, MacDougal, Leskanic, and Affeldt to close it out baby.
Will be interesting though if Jeremy can rid himself of those blisters. He could be our number one starter. ;-D
