Nope - the key here is that true old-timers won't find their way onto this list. Hitting batters isn't a new art (and yes, 300+ is too high)...

I'm sure it isn't walks, but just to make sure that base has been covered... walks.

No, it's not walks (Nolan Ryan is the career walk leader, I believe). You guys are thinking in the right direction, though.

Roberts' career total in this category is 505, by the way... and Chuck Finley's total is 294.

Since I think that Blylevin has the record for and is tied for second in HR's allowed in one season, I will say these are lifetime leaders in HR's allowed. I believe he did those in back to back seasons at the end of the 80's.
