Jason Giambi should have just kept his mouth shut!

Pls help:

Just traded BButler, BWood & JLoney for Mark Teixeira, Ryan Theriot & Renyel Pinto in a DYNASTY LEAGUE. Big gamble I know!

It makes me wonder why an active player would say something like that, knowing they'll be crawling up every orafice he has now. Is anyone else taking this as writing on the wall that his career is coming to a close? This bone spur thing seems like DL waiting to happen. Should he be dropped? I've been sitting him for about 2 weeks now.

I can think of two reasons:

1) He feels genuinely bad about using steroids and wants it off his chest/conscience;

2) He sees all the animosity aimed at Bonds and other suspected users and hopes that if he fesses up the public will forgive him...

I applaud him for admitting fault but it was a foolish move. This will just make other players keep their mouths shut even tighter.

Call me stupid but what has changed since the last time he "admitted" his wrongdoing? I understand he brought up an issue that is touchy, but how could they void his contract now if they couldn't before?

Last time all he said was "im sorry." this time he made it quite clear what he was talking about and how he doesnt feel he cheated because they didnt help him hit a baseball.- clear admission of using roids. Now they have legal ground to void his sorry a$$

MLB is upset because he's telling the truth instead of throwing out a bunch of b.s.

He should save this damned honesty for when he's NOT on my fantasy team! <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif> Anyway, he's having such a lousy year he's my backup but I keep waiting for him to turn it around. Maybe he won't get that chance now!

Edit: ok, when i hit the angry face i get the kissy face. for the record, i am not a homo, thanks. im an angry hetero! *hugs*
