Does anyone have any information on whether Chris Young of the Padres is also suffering from the same groin problem affecting Chris Young of the Diamondbacks? I can't find any information to suggest that it's true, but as usual, Yahoo has messed up by seemingly confusing the two Youngs. On the Chris Young (Padres) update it says:
May 19 Arizona Diamondbacks OF Chris Young (groin) was pulled from the game, Friday, May 18, against the Pittsburgh Pirates, after having suffered tightness in his right groin, according to the Associated Press. He will be re-evaluated Saturday, May 19.
Below this obvious mistake it says:
May 19 Young left the Padres' 8-1 win at Seattle on Friday after 6 2-3 innings due to right groin tightness.
Advice: The right-hander's status is uncertain, so monitor his status to see if he will miss a turn in the rotation. Young is having a strong season with a 5-3 record, 2.89 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 53 innings over nine starts.
I'm annoyed because I wanted to offer Young in a trade but I'm sure it will be rejected if the information is inaccurate. And I'm sure it will take Yahoo about a month to correct it if it is an error.
Anyone (Padres fans?) know for certain which is true?
