Yeah but that's all he really is. He's the best guy in the game to have on your bench because of his eligibility. But, he's a hole filler. It's hard to justify going from here on out with Youkilis as your main guy at a position. I guess 3rd outfielder isn't so bad, but it's not great either. Best bench player in fantasy terms but I don't think I'd want to count on him as an everyday player unless I lost a guy for the season.

You go ahead and keep him on your bench. The rest of your league will thank you at the end of the year.

jeez, calm down people. it's one career-high hitting streak. it's not like he's going to hit like this all year.

for every hitting streak, he's going to slump.

he could finish with a .300 avg, but once the hitting streak stops he won't have enough power or speed to be an everyday player.

yes he IS a nice bench player to fill in. right now, he should be in. when his streak ends, he should be out. he's not like hafner or manny or howard who could hit 2 homers in any given game so you have to keep in your lineup.

and this is not coming from a hater. i have youkilis and have been using him in 3b. i'm actually trying to sell him high right now before his hitting streak ends.

That said, if someone is willing to hand over Aramis Ramirez, David Wright or, heh, ARod for him you'd have to do that.

his hitting streak is no fluke, and when it does end i am sure he will be able to go on another one ... not saying it will be as big as this one, but lets face it hes had a 10 game hitting streak right before this one. in the boston lineup where he sometimes hits 2nd and then sometimes 4th or 5th (even 3rd) with ortiz out for few days he has a chance to have a good year ... better then a lot of players out there

Mike LoL is hitting really well for Boston this season too. The team has had a charmed first couple months with their lesser hitters stepping up big time while some of the better hitters struggle, I'm sure they'll start to regress soon.
